'Conflict Tiger', the film that inspired Vaillant's book, is an environmental thriller shot on location in the Russian Far East in the winter of 2004. Released in 2006, the film has been shown world-wide, winning 12 festival Grand and Jury prizes. In 2010, 'Conflict Tiger' was nominated for 'Environmental Film of the Decade' at the Green Globe Awards in L.A. The film's director, Sasha Snow, is now working on another drama-documentary based on Vaillant's first book, The Golden Spruce.
